I had a fabulous day today at Warwickshire Pride in Leamington Spa. It was such a well-organised and family-friendly pride.
Due to how much trans rights are currently under threat in the UK and just how hostile the mainstream media and the Government are to trans people, Warwickshire Pride organisers decided to put trans people right at the front of the march to show that the L,G and B really are with the T. It was heartwarming to have so much support and solidarity from the LGBTQIA+ community.
I did my usual thing of living up to my nickname of “The Gobby Trans Woman” by leading much of the chanting. I was even asked for a selfie by a woman who had attended one of my trans awareness webinars.
