Cool2BTrans - Katie Neeves - Trans Ambassador - Trans Awareness Training | Media Appearances | Public Speaking | Mentoring & Support

Katie is inspiring, funny and connects at an emotional level. So much we can learn from Katie’s experience not just around trans people equality and inclusion but for all people who have experienced discrimination and prejudice. Honour to recommend Katie. Thank you.

Katie recently joined us at our Digital Town Hall. We are huge supporters of supporting all of our colleagues and in support of LGBTQ+ month we invited Katie along to share her own personal story. Katie’s talk was inspirational, powerful, funny and emotional.  I can’t recommend her enough if you want to help family, friends, colleagues through a similar journey or just understand things a little more so you can be a true ally.

Digital People Lead at NHS Business Services Authority

Katie gave an incredible talk on trans inclusion and tips for being an ally in my membership. She was engaging, funny and created a relaxed, safe space which allowed for learning rather than judgement or guilt.
Even as a Queer woman with trans friends I learned a lot from hearing her story and experiences.
I can’t recommend Katie highly enough if you’re looking for a speaker to introduce trans issues to your group in an accessible way.

Katie ran a trans awareness session for my membership of small business owners and it was brilliant. Katie’s style is open and full of good humour and not only did she share some really important and useful tips on being inclusive of trans people, she also delivered some valuable lessons on how important it is to be true to yourself.
Thank you Katie – I really hope we have the opportunity to work together again in future.

Director of Little Green Duck Ltd

Thank you Katie for delivering such an inspiring and powerful Trans Awareness session. We have received lots of great feedback from staff and requests for more sessions like this. You managed to keep everyone engaged for the whole session on zoom which is no easy task! We laughed, we cried, we laughed some more! Thank you for sharing your story with us all – I’m confident that we all have a much better understanding and awareness of the issues faced by trans people, the language we should and shouldn’t be using, and, individually and as an organisation, what we can do to be trans allies as well as ensuring that people can be themselves at work. From all the staff at the ACU, a huge thank you.

Tarrance Ryder-Downes

Director of People at the Association of commonwealth Universities

As a mom to a Transgender boy, who has no idea about the LGBTQ+ community and still learning – Katie and her story, and her willingness to answer questions without being judged for them, is what makes her talks phenomenal!
And she is hilarious!! Such a great sense of humour 👏🏼
I can highly recommend Katie as your speaker as she was for my online virtual event on @futureforwardhub podcast and events for the Global Goal of Reduced Inequalities.

I first met Katie before lockdown at a diversity event, she had such an impact that when I started to create our ED&I strategy for the company I knew immediately who to ask for help. Katie spent some time with us today and presented her story through one of our lunch and learn sessions for the entire business. The session was so well received, with great feedback we are already organising the next event.

Katie delivers learning in an open, honest and passionate way she maintains interest throughout. I would recommend Katie to my whole network, she is a fantastic trans ambassador and a great sounding board for me to understand how I can support our trans community within the business. Thank you Katie for your help, I’m looking forward to working with you on the next stage of our strategy.

“I had the pleasure of meeting Katie as a guest speaker at one of our monthly ‘People & Leadership’ networking events. These events are attended by senior HR professionals and we were lucky enough to engage Katie during trans awareness week & her story of her transitioning journey was truly inspirational! Katie is a phenomenal trans ambassador and educator, she has a highly engaging personality and is a beacon of light for trans awareness. I can’t recommend Katie enough, if you get a chance to work with her, you won’t fail to be educated, inspired & incredibly moved! Katie, I wish you all the best in your mission to increase awareness for this hugely important subject. Can’t thank you 🙏 enough for supporting our group, especially knowing how in demand you are!”

Katie is a phenomenal speaker and trainer. She creates a safe space for open dialogue and learning as she blends thought-provoking content with humour and warmth. Katie uses her personal story with such generosity and openness it’s impossible not to feel totally engaged – which creates such rich conversation and teases people out of their shells to ask questions. A three hour session flew by!

Jamie Scotto

People & Culture Advisor - HR at UnLtd

Katie delivered an engaging, insightful and educational talk as part of our Pride month events. Her honesty and willingness to answer any questions really helped us to open a useful and positive discussion about trans inclusion. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommended her to anyone looking for a speaker.

Katie Neeves

Trans Ambassador
I am a woman on a mission! But not just any woman and not just any mission…

Being an openly transgender woman and a trans ambassador, I am on a mission to not only show that it’s OK to be trans, but it’s actually cool to be trans too!

Through my media appearances, public speaking engagements, blog, vlog, social media, trans awareness training courses and via support groups, my aim is to reach out to trans people who may be struggling with their gender identity, to reassure them and to lead by example. I want to help educate the general public too. The more people who are educated about trans issues, the greater the acceptance and the easier it will be for trans people to live their lives in peace. Most bigotry and prejudice comes from ignorance and fear of the unknown. Education can and does save lives.
