Sketchnotes of My Long Walk to Womanhood

Following a trans awareness session I delivered last week for the Wellcome Sanger Institute, I was sent these amazing sketchnotes of my long walk to womanhood, created by a very talented illustrator called Laura Olivares Boldu.

During my 1 – 1.5 hour sessions, I always tell the story of my own transgender journey using plenty of humour (or bad jokes anyway) and I weave into it education on all things trans as I progress through my journey.  I then give my top tips for being a trans ally before finishing with a no-holds barred Q&A in which I will answer absolutely anything.

I am bowled over by these sketchnotes!  Laura has captured my story beautifully and I’m very grateful to her for sending them to me.
