My First Time Openly Out as Katie

I went out for the first time as Katie yesterday without having to worry about our neighbours seeing me as they all know about my transition now. Previously I had to come back under cover of darkness like an SAS operation! It felt so liberating, but I was slightly disappointed that there were no neighbours around to see me. Typical! I think next time I will have to go high-kicking down the street singing “I am what I am”!  That will get them all out. 😉

I went to visit a friend who has only just come out as transgender too.  She is at exactly the same stage of her transition as me, although she has already changed her name.  We have so much in common, so it was good to swap experiences.
