How Families Cope with having a Transgender Relative

Here is a video of a discussion I had with Liz, the mother to a transgender daughter, about how families cope with having a transgender relative.  I felt it was important to discuss this as transition is not just about all the physical stuff of hormones and growing breasts!  While most of my friends and clients have been very supportive, the most challenging aspect of my transition has been dealing with the (mostly negative) reactions of my family.  It continues to be a challenge.
